I was asked by the lovely curators of Soundtracks Festival to perform some improv on the East London Line, or, Overground as some like to call it in an effort to promote the magical musical culture of East London. Yes, Dalston on a Saturday night - no I didn’t always leave with my head held high!
This is a song I love to do called ‘Running’, which I also recently recorded for EMI Publishing & performed especially for Sound Tracks. Although I was pretty ill that night, we had a bloody blast. :-)
Also on the bill were Ghostpoet, Fiction, Mercury Prize nominees Shabaka & The Sons of Kemet and Kidkanevil.
Baishe Kings - HerdaBaishe? (Mixtape)
London hip-hop collective Baishe Kings just released another tape full of heat titled ‘HerdaBaishe?’. Sounding ill as fuck, these guys are always upping the levels, putting the ‘have fun’ vibe back into hip-hop. You can download and stream below via bandcamp.
